Ultimate Spider-Man 11
What to unpack here. In Hickman's new Spider-Man series, Peter is a family man. He's got two kids and Mary-Jane is his wife. It's already better than the regular Spider-Man series.
Recently his family found out his secret and his life has become more and more insane. In the 11th book, Spider-Man is at his most annoying, quipping and sending the bad running. When he told the bad guys to keep the one woman, his smart mouth was clear on display.
M.J. was in her best form. She’s a mother and worried about what could happen. I don't think she'd leave Peter, but if his secret is uncovered, her life and the lives of her children will be in danger.
Ben knew Peter’s secret and gave him the best advice he could. Tell no-one. He's proud of Peter, but worried, as I would be,
I like this Peter. He’s a dork, but he’s got the responsibilities weighing on him that make him a better hero than the other guy. He’s also got more to lose, and that makes me care more about his choices. However, he's also having fun. And that's all we really need.
